About

About

We created Virtual Run Events in April 2015 because we LOVE running! And even more, we LOVE connecting with runners. Shortly after we created Moon Joggers, we began to realize that we could encourage people to get out and get moving, AND make a difference throughout the world by creating fun and unique events to raise money for various charities and causes. For each virtual running event we design a unique medal, invite people to get out and run (or walk) their own race, at their own pace and choose a charity to donate a portion of the proceeds to. We are on a quest to help provide food, shoes, schools, school supplies, water, toilets, toys and other needed things to people throughout the world and it is all happening through our Virtual Run Events. We love being involved in the running community and have made so many new running friends from all over the world. Thank you so much for participating! We are making a difference…one race at a time!

With each virtual race we hold we choose a charity to raise funds for. Below is a list of charities we have donated to. Between Virtual Run Events and our sister site, Moon Joggers, we have donated more than $926,413 to charities around the world!

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RACE?

A virtual race is a race that can be ran (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym, or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. And your medal will be shipped directly to you.

Who We Are

Angie Webb

Angie Webb is the President and Creator of Moon Joggers.  She loves coming up with new race ideas and her favorite part of Moon Joggers is the people she has been able to meet through this incredible group of runners and walkers.  In 2014 she was the driver, travel agent, food provider, route planner and everything else it took for Perry Newburn on his epic run across America in 53 days.  He ran from New York City to Los Angeles and Angie saw the whole thing from the drivers seat, while also finishing up her Master’s Degree on the road. While Perry was running, Angie was typing papers.  She has completed one marathon, 12 half marathons and has recently set the goal to complete a half marathon in all 50 states! Only 42 more to go!  She loves to hike with her sidekick Mr. Rip (the best dog ever) and holds the trophy for the Best Aunt in the World to her 14 nephews and 5 nieces.

Darnell Bird

Darnell Bird is our Vice President and has been with the company since it was founded. She and her husband Jordan have mastered the art of packing bibs and medals. When she’s not working on Moon Joggers she is working as a pediatric critical care nurse practitioner and spending time with her husband and two kids. She is looking forward to getting back into running after taking time off after having her son. She enjoys traveling but also enjoys the beauty and activities her home state of Utah has to offer.

Kati Webb

Kati Webb is our Shipping Manager. She enjoys a good run, especially when it involves an orange ball and a hoop. Kati won’t brag, but we will. She’s an amazing basketball player! After playing college basketball and teaching elementary school for a couple of years, Kati is now loving being home with her two little boys. Amid her frequent trips to the post office, she loves reading and spending time with her family.

Lindsea Volle

Lindsea Volle is our Office Manager and Photographer. She has enjoyed participating with her husband in a marathon and half marathons but has taken a hiatus from running to race after her three young kids instead. Being a Washington state country girl transplanted to Georgia, she is at home in the mountains, loves to travel and make trips to Walt Disney World with her family.
